VEGETARIAN HIGH PROTEIN FOODS INDIA



If you are a vegetarian and thinking that you can't build the physique you want YOU ARE WRONG.
Being a vegetarian myself many people told me that you must eat non- veg to build muscle as it contains high amount of protein.

But I thought their must be alternatives i.e. vegetarian foods that contain high amount of protein.
And guess what there is.
This means non veg foods are not necessary to build muscle as long as you're eating a diet filled with grains, legumes, vegetables and milk.



1.Grains: 

Grains are divided into two subgroups - Whole and Refined

Whole Grains contain the entire grain kernel – bran, germ, and endosperm.

In India whole grains are :

i) Whole Wheat : 

It is a complex carbohydrate used to make roti or paranthas in India which is healthy and also helps in weight loss.

ii) Bajra Or Pearl Millet:

Bajra is high in protein, phosphorus,fibre,magnesium and iron.Also it contains amino acids which help in building muscles.

iii) Jowar: 

Jowar is high in antioxidants which is good for your heart health and prevents cancer.



2. Legumes

Legumes like rajma, chole,etc. are high in protein and amino acids and they act as the perfect alternative for non-veg foods to build muscle.



3.Vegtables: 

Vegtables are high in vitamins and minerals which help the body to detox itself and help the body to maintain it's well being.



4.Milk 

Milk is high in casein protein and calcium which helps to build muscle and strengthen the bones.
